Adem Yilmaz is born 1955 in Yerköy, Turkey. From 1974 to 1977 he studied chemistry in Turkey. Since 1977 the artist lives in Cologne. In 1983 he finished his studies of free painting at University of applied arts Cologne.
He is an important contemporary Turkish painter and sculptor; representated Turkey 1993 at the 45th Venice Biennale.
